I have found myself many times wondering what book I should read. I have just finished a really good book and am looking for some equally or even more interesting books to keep me happy and busy. So here I am, talking to people who are looking for something interesting and new as well. I am recommending this amazing series that I love and can't wait for more of. The series is called The Mortal Instruments. It starts off with the book City of Bones. It is a paranormal romance book that isn't too gooey but will still make you get goosebumps. It is filled with action, humor, and will have you wanting more when you finish the first book... and there will be more. There are six books in the series, although the sixth book has not come out yet.
The Mortal Instruments is about a girl named Clary who didn't know she was apart of this hidden world until she was out one night with her best friend Simon. She meets new people who are a part of this world as well. They are called Shadowhunters. Shadowhunters are protecters of man kind against demons and downworlders. Downworlders are basically warlocks, vampires, warewolves, and fae. She is sucked into this world unexpectantly when something happens to her mother and she, with the help of some Shadowhunters, try to find her mother; all the while trying to figure out who she is and why she didn't know about it. And she starts to have feels for one of these Shadowhunters along the way.
I love this series for many, many reasons. I hope you guys read it, too.
